Ronald Shane, President and Co-Founder
Ronald has provided millions of dollars in financing for companies in the hotel, telecommunications, printing, medical, machinery, aviation, transportation, and marine industries. He maintains partnerships and commercial relationships with consortium suppliers, as well.
After graduating with honors from Florida International University in 1974, Ronald, along with his twin brother Robert, founded Associated Leasing to offer capital equipment financing in both the United States and abroad. Ronald maintained a national program with a heavy industries supplier (working with the EDM Wire Cut Division out of Chicago) to lease/finance millions of dollars in precision machining equipment.
A pioneer in leasing, Ronald has many accomplishments in the marine and shipping industry. He orchestrated the funding of the first one-day cruise line, in 1980 out of Miami, Florida.

As a consultant to the marine industry, he has provided direction for many cruise lines and commercial fleets. Some of the largest ship owners and operators in the world have asked him to consult and advise on bareboat charters as well as offer creative methods of finance for dry bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, car-carrying vessels, and barges.
Over the years, Ronald diversified the company by adding commercial and residential mortgages, including for hospitals, medical office buildings, retail centers, student housing facilities, and factories. He has provided loans for the construction of hotels and their FF&E.
His family history in the finance industry can be traced back over 100 years with the founding of Rent-a-Car Inc. in Chicago. Ronald's father, Raymond Shane, continued in transportation, owning the largest GMC Truck Dealership (Associated GMC Truck Co.) and fleet leasing company (Mobile Leasing) in the US, eventually selling operations to AVIS.
As a third generation, Ronald has continued the success of the two generations before him with the same commitment to honor, trust, and integrity. He is an inductee of Who's Who in America and Personalities of the South, as well as a contributor to many personal charities.

Robert Shane, Senior Vice President and Co-Founder
For over 4 decades, Robert has provided lease and financing programs for banks, institutional lenders, insurance companies, and vendors. The industries he financed include aviation, transportation, printing, machine tool, medical, marine, and technology. Robert, like his father, has been active in real estate financing of commercial property and specialized in medical equipment leasing and financing of hospitals worldwide. He achieved many accomplishments in the telecommunications field as he financed info switches, cellular towers, and other equipment. Numerous hotel owners and developers also call on him for FF&E financing.

Robert graduated with honors from Florida International University in 1974 and co-founded Associated Leasing with Ronald shortly thereafter, becoming an expert in overseas finance by utilizing export and import programs. Early in his career, he successfully financed large companies in Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, and Chile. In the years to follow, he spent time in Europe developing lease and finance programs for the marine and shipping industry. He has provided advice and consultation to ship owners and governments alike for all types of vessels, ranging from oil tankers, cruise ships, and ferry boats to car-carrier vessels, barges, and freighters. Robert has many accolades and achievements in the industry and continues where three generations before him succeeded. The family that founded Rent-a-Car Inc. (now Hertz), Associated GMC, and Mobile Leasing would be most pleased with his accomplishments and philanthropy to date. He is an inductee of Who's Who in America and Personalities of the South.
